Accessibility statement.

Our commitment to learners of every ability.

Education is for everyone. Edudron is committed to making our platform usable by the broadest possible audience, including students and faculty with disabilities. This statement describes our current accessibility posture, our compliance targets, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Our target

Edudron aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. This is the same baseline referenced by the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act) and by the Government of India’s accessibility guidelines for digital services.

What we’ve built in

  • Semantic structure. Headings, landmarks, lists, and tables use the appropriate HTML elements. Every page has one and only one <h1>.
  • Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — menus, forms, modals, carousels — is reachable by Tab, operable by Enter/Space, and visibly focused.
  • Alt text. Meaningful images carry descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images carry alt="" and are marked aria-hidden.
  • Colour contrast. Body text meets the 4.5:1 ratio; large text meets the 3:1 ratio. Our cream/ink palette was picked specifically to clear AA at every body size we use.
  • Reduced motion. We respect prefers-reduced-motion; non-essential animations are disabled when users opt out.
  • Screen-reader support. We test with NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.
  • Captions and transcripts. Institute-uploaded lecture videos support synchronised captions. Our AI captioning tool generates a first pass in English and Hindi; faculty review before publish.
  • Form labels. Every input has a visible label and an accessible name. Error messages are programmatically associated with the field they describe.

Known gaps

We’re honest about what isn’t there yet:

  • Our coding-sandbox lab interface does not yet provide a fully accessible alternative for screen-reader users. We’re working on it; ETA Q3 2026.
  • A small number of legacy course thumbnails uploaded before 2025 are missing alt text. We’re auto-generating descriptions and asking institutes to verify.
  • Captions in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada are in progress on our AI captioning service.

How we test

Automated checks (axe-core) run on every pull request. Manual screen-reader spot-checks happen once per release. We commission an external accessibility audit annually; the most recent was completed in March 2026 and found no Level AA blockers.
